Ball Mill:

          This consists of  horizontal cylinder whose diameter is roughly equal to its length, lined with heavy linear plates. This cylinder is connected to motor through gear. The  rotating cylindrical or conical steel chamber , is approximately half full of steel / iron balls or flint stones. The size reduction of the feed is accomplished by the impact of these balls as they fall back after being lifted by the rotating chamber. The ball mill finds application in Paint industry, Fertilizer industry, ore processing etc.
